Every year, the Northwell Health Walk brings people together for one reason: to keep our communities healthy. It’s a way to support our local hospitals and services. It’s a way to support each other. All while being active.
This year, the Walk is more important than ever. Many of us have stayed home with a renewed focus on keeping ourselves and our neighbors healthy. At the same time, healthcare workers have continued to go into work - often at their own risk - to provide the care that we all rely on.
Even though we can’t get together at Jones Beach, Staten Island or East End, as we usually do, we will still walk.
Register for the Walk as an individual, or bring your friends/family/coworkers along and register as a team. Once you register, you’ll choose where you want your funds to go… and then you’re off! Time to start training and fundraising.
May 23rd is Walk Day! The week leading up to Walk Day, you’ll be able to visit a dedicated event site with games, activities, loads of information, and a chance to connect with fellow walkers. Then we’ll all join together on the 23rd to watch an inspiring opening ceremony. After that, you hit the streets—your streets—for your Walk.
When you raise money for the Northwell Health Walk: Hometown Edition, you decide where it goes. Northwell Health’s hospitals and services are located in communities throughout Long Island, Westchester and New York City, including dedicated centers for cancer treatment, pediatric care, women’s health and other specialties. You can choose to fundraise for any one of the seven hospitals or services in or near your community.
Wherever you decide to send your funds, you’ll be joining Northwell Health and thousands of your fellow walkers in their commitment to keep our communities healthy.
