Breast Health Program: Peconic Bay Medical Center wants patients to be able to stay local for their breast health. Funds raised for the Walk will go toward expanding the Breast Health Program so we can further develop and perform highly specialized breast health services for both women and men with breast cancer at any stage in their journey. We aim to provide the most advanced breast care in the region, from the latest diagnostic procedures, to the most innovative treatment options.
Mother and Baby Unit: Peconic Bay Medical Center is committed to creating one facility where new mothers and their babies can stay together while they each receive the best possible healthcare. Funds from this year’s Walk will support the expansion of a comprehensive Mother and Baby Unit, including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a postnatal care unit, and a state-of-the-art delivery unit - all in one place. Your support will ensure that new moms and their babies in eastern Suffolk County can receive the care they need, and the comfort of being close to one another.
